About Soulaid

created by Soulaid
At the turn of the century an aspiration turned in to reality and after
a successful half century celebration to kick things off confidence was
high. Soulaid was borne and between six to ten soul nights a year have
been held to this date. Each event typically raises around £1,000.00
through sponsorship, entrance fees (£5.00 otd), Raffles and Donations but
the economic climate is in deed making this tough but not impossible.
There are a number of individuals who whole heartedly support this
fund raising organisation. Without their support things would be very
difficult in deed.
The biggest supporters are the people who turn up to support these
worthy events. We may indeed play some of the best soul music
around and give these brilliant supporters a great night out but its
then our job to make sure all the money taken go to a good cause,
helping people who are less fortunate than us.
Our music spans from the 1960’s through to 2011, a fairly unique
blend in the world of Northern Soul nights, Tamla Motown nights
and other soul night events.

tunes, but can put a great spot
together for the floor.
Clive Farley (centre) with old
school mate Mick Leigh (right)

guest DJ and was part of the
regular lineup.
Steve Clayton - a serious collector
and Mecca Fanatic. Steve, who’s

and helps make the night well worth
the money.
