LEYLAND CIVIC CENTRE © Soulaid 2012 created by Soulaid Over the years Leyland has played a significant role in the evolution of soul nights. This was from youth clubs through to major North West of England soul venues. Leyland Youth Centre & the Leyland Public Hall in the 1970’s were such a venues, packing in hundreds of soul fans on a Monday night was a great success. With the support of Leyland soul DJ’s the time and location has changed but the quality of soul music hasn’t. In support of the Army Benevolent Fund the night promises to be a great night with two rooms of fantastic sounds. In the Main Hall we have the three DJ’s from Soulaid, the Leyland based organisation specialising in combining soul music and fund raising. In the Modern Room Ian Brewster and Gary Hodgson join Steve Clayton and Clive Farley. Ian is a born and bread Leyland lad where Gary is a fairly recent addition to the local population coming from the Midlands. The night is dedicated to the Army Benevolent Fund and promises the best soul you can cram into a single night.
